The East Brighton Vampires are born!

Dear member,

A huge thank you to all of you who turned out for our Vampires Club launch last Saturday night. It was a great chance to finally share all the work that has been going on behind the scenes to bring our new Club to life, including unveiling our brand-new uniforms. Speaking of which…
40% Subsidy
As a result of our Club’s fundraising efforts over the past 12 months, I’m delighted to tell you that we’ll be subsidising the cost of our uniforms for existing members by 40%. That means, instead of paying $100, each new kit of jersey and shorts will only cost $60. Please note, this only applies to existing members, not new members joining us for the first time in the upcoming Summer Season. The uniforms have now been ordered and all going well, they should be ready for Round 1 in October. Additionally, the Club will be purchasing branded polo shirts for each of our coaches, and we’ll soon be sharing a link for you to buy additional Vampires merchandise directly from our supplier.
Swapping to New Branding
In addition to the new uniforms, you’ll be starting to notice that all Scalpers logos are beginning to be replaced, including on WhatsApp and soon on our social channels. Early in the Summer Season, we’ll also be arranging to take new photographs to populate our new website. More information on that to come.
Get those registrations in
Registrations have been released for next season. Please, hurry and register (if you haven’t already done so).
More Volunteers Required
Those of you who attended the launch function would have heard my desperate request for more volunteers. It’s this simple: without your assistance, our Club cannot continue to perform. It is simply not reasonable or sustainable to expect the same people to continually give of their time over and over again. We have set ourselves up for a big future, but we need your help to realise it. So please, if you can help—regardless of whether you know anything about basketball—please make yourself known to a member of the committee.
Finally, best wishes to all of our teams who have made it through to the finals. Yes. friendship comes first, but there’s nothing wrong with a championship or two as well. And for the rest of you, well, you’ll be among the 24 teams that we have lining up in Vampires red and black for the upcoming Summer Season.
Go Scalpers/Vampires!
Regards,
Doogie Chapman
