The East Brighton Vampires Basketball Club currently has 24 male and female teams, ranging from under 10s through to under 20s. Our teams play in both the summer and winter competitions offered by the McKinnon Basketball Association.
The Club regularly offers junior development basketball programs for young players, as well as facilitating the establishment of all age junior basketball teams. If you are interested in creating a team within the club, or if you have younger children (five to eight-year-olds) interested in joining a development squad, please contact the Club via the CONTACT page of this website.
These squads are a great way for young players to taste of the game of basketball, and they often move into playing in a modified competition once their skills and confidence develops.
McKinnon Basketball Association (MBA) is a not-for-profit Community Sporting Association that provides people within the cities of Glen Eira, Bayside and Kingston the opportunity to play basketball.
The MBA administers the senior and junior basketball competitions in the Glen Eira, Bayside and Kingston areas. It grades teams into divisions comparable to strengths, create the fixtures, and manages and operates the competitions each week.
The MBA has produced a number of athletes who have furthered their achievements at a state level and international college level. The MBA also features an outstanding Referee Program, Coach Program and Scoring/Statistician Program offering employment opportunities and a way to stay involved within this great sport.
